For thousands of people across Britain, someone is missing from their lives and finding them can seem like an impossible task. Using every technique, from DNA technology to painstaking detective work, the series traces people that no-one else could find, uncovering family secrets and finally answering questions that have haunted entire lives.
With searches extending to Nigeria, Ethiopia, America and Australia, no stone is left unturned as Davina and Nicky bring families back together.
Sadly, not every story can have a happy ending and there are some tragic outcomes. But even when missing family members have passed away, our searchers have been comforted by meeting other family members we’ve discovered.
The new series includes many firsts, including the programme’s first deaf contributor and the first time we’ve ever taken on a search on behalf of a  birth father searching on his own for a child who was given up for adoption.

This week Alan and the team create a garden like no other they've done before.
The team head to Shrewsbury in Shropshire to meet Air Ambulance heroine Gina Constable.  The former nurse's dedication to this vital life-saving service is unprecedented. For over 21 years she has helped raise more than a quarter of a million pounds - a figure which works out at over 100 life-saving air ambulance missions.
To this day, despite crippling arthritis, she remains one of the Services most dedicated fundraisers and will often take her mind off her painful joints by knitting charity soft toys - even through the night.
Inspired by the wishes of her late husband Tony, who was equally dedicated to fundraising for the Air Ambulance, the Love Your Garden team build her a breathtaking Japanese garden.
The team share the tricks to creating a little piece of Japan in your own back yard - from transforming a run-down summerhouse into an authentic Japanese Tea House, to creating cloud-pruned trees and the low down on planting and caring for Japanese maples. The attention to detail is exceptional.
The Love Your Garden team are David Domoney, Francis Tophill, Alan Titchmarsh and Katie Rushworth

This new landmark TV3 documentary, Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, celebrates the life and work of Diana, Princess of Wales, in the 20th year since her tragic death.
Made by Oxford Film and Television, producers of TV3’s ‘Our Queen at 90’, the film is built around contributions from HRH The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, both of whom talk openly about their mother and pay tribute to the many ways her influence has shaped their lives.
The 90-minute film includes photographs of Diana never seen before, taken from an album that Diana had assembled. The brothers look through the private family album and recall some of the most joyful and touching moments from their childhood.
Studying a photo of The Princess holding him whilst pregnant with Prince Harry, Prince William says "Believe it or not, you and I are both in this photograph, you’re in the tummy!”
Prince Harry says: “This is the first time that the two of us have ever spoken about her as a mother.”
Prince William says: “She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and the fun.”
Prince Harry says: “She was one of the naughtiest parents.”
Prince William says: “But she understood that there was a real life outside of Palace walls.”
Prince Harry: “She was our mum. She still is our mum. And of course, as a son I would say this, she was the best mum in the world. She smothered us with love, that’s for sure.”
Prince William and Prince Harry share some of their earliest memories of their mother, recall the final contact they had with her before her tragic death in August 1998 and discuss their feelings in the aftermath of losing their mother. Prince William explains how he keeps her memory alive for his own children.
The documentary also celebrates the achievements of Diana’s work and her sons’ determination to continue the campaigns that were closest to her heart.
The film will also include individual contributions from the Princess’ family and friends, several of whom have never spoken before. They include Sir Elton John, Rihanna, The Rt. Hon. The Earl Spencer (Diana’s brother), Harry Herbert, Lady Carolyn Warren, William van Straubenzee, Gerard McGrath, Jayne Fincher (Royal Photographer), Anna Harvey (personal stylist), Lord Victor Adebowale and Graham Dillamore, (Gardens Manager, Kensington Palace).
The documentary is commissioned for TV3 by Jo Clinton-Davis, Controller of Factual and Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment.
Jo says: “This new TV3 film will offer viewers a fresh and revealing insight into Princess Diana through the personal and intimate reflections of her two sons and of her friends and family, many of whom have never spoken before, to bring together a definitive portrait of a unique person who touched the lives of millions.”
