There are more than 200 drivers over the age of 100 in the UK. Motorists over the age of 70 must reapply through the post for a driving licence every three years but are not automatically re-tested.
This programme speaks to those aged in their 90s and 100s who are willing to risk their independence by taking the plunge and sitting an assessment overseen by examiners from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The opening episode features 102-year-old John Errol Manners, from rural Wiltshire. A Royal Navy veteran who cheated death three times in the war, who is quite relaxed about his date with destiny even if he admits he likes to drive on the other side of the road because he claims he can see oncoming traffic better.
In Wales, the familiar face of centenarian Jock Stares travels around the Valleys on his trusty scooter. He celebrates his 101st birthday by taking a speed boat out with his son before taking a motorcycle assessment.
In the meantime, 93-year-old Jack Hearn makes it clear that he has no intention of failing his assessment. An international judo grand master, Jack can still throw a man over his shoulder and makes it clear he’s not going to let a driving examiner spoil his day.
By the end of the programme, the elderly drivers all face the steely gaze of a driving examiner and answer the ultimate question – is it time to hand in the keys for good?.Series which follows some of Britain's oldest drivers as they take tests organised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) to ensure their safety on the road.

When ex-police officer Tom (Stephen Moyer) hears news of the abduction of Julie Delaney (Lynsey McLaren) he leaves his partner Sam (Zoë Tapper) and their beautiful coastal home and heads straight to the crime scene.
After a frosty reception from DI Vedder (Gary Cargill) Tom sees DCI Jane Burr (Sunetra Sarker) and tries to convince her that the Crow, a notorious killer, is back and that John Channing (Ashley Walters) the partner of the missing woman is in danger.
Jane shuts this down – the Crow is in jail and Tom put him there in 2009. Tom, however, believes the man in jail - James Griffin (Stephen Lord) - was just a disciple and that the real Crow is still out there.
Tom is vindicated when Julie is used as bait to lure Julie’s partner John Channing to a remote place. Julie’s daughter Dani (Sacha Parkinson) and John are moved into the safe house which Tom and Sam run as a business.
Meanwhile, Liam Duke (Joel MacCormack) returns home from Manchester. His father Simon (Jason Watkins) is concerned by the timing of the arrival and by Liam’s erratic behaviour. Could Liam’s return and the re-emergence of the Crow be linked?

Safe House, produced by leading independent production company Eleventh Hour Films, returns to TV3 with an all new cast and crime story.
The series stars internationally renowned British actor Stephen Moyer (True Blood, The Bastard Executioner, Shots Fired) as charismatic yet impulsive ex-police officer Tom Brook who runs this season's police safe house, which stands at the edge of the sea on the rugged coastline of Anglesey, a wild and beautiful sanctuary.
Stephen is joined by actress Zoë Tapper (Mr Selfridge, Lewis) as his partner Sam. The drama has been written by Ed Whitmore (CSI, He Kills Coppers) and Tracey Malone (Born to Kill, Rillington Place) and directed by Marc Evans (Safe House S1, Collision).

Eleventh Hour Films Creative Director Paula Cuddy (Strike Back, Wallander) is the Executive Producer alongside company founder and Chief Executive Jill Green (New Blood, Collision). Andrew Benson (Strike Back, Prime Suspect) has produced the new season.
Episode 1
When ex-police officer Tom (Stephen Moyer) hears news of the abduction of Julie Delaney (Lynsey McLaren) he leaves his partner Sam (Zoë Tapper) and their beautiful coastal home and heads straight to the crime scene.
After a frosty reception from DI Vedder (Gary Cargill) Tom sees DCI Jane Burr (Sunetra Sarker) and tries to convince her that the Crow, a notorious killer, is back and that John Channing (Ashley Walters) the partner of the missing woman is in danger.
Jane shuts this down – the Crow is in jail and Tom put him there in 2009. Tom, however, believes the man in jail - James Griffin (Stephen Lord) - was just a disciple and that the real Crow is still out there.
Tom is vindicated when Julie is used as bait to lure Julie’s partner John Channing to a remote place. Julie’s daughter Dani (Sacha Parkinson) and John are moved into the safe house which Tom and Sam run as a business.
