20:30-21:00 brand new series.2/8.Paul O'Grady:For The Love of the Dogs.(Series 6).Episode 2
There is nowhere in the world like Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and self-confessed canine addict Paul O’Grady is delighted to be back for a brand new series of the award-winning, heart-warming and at times heart-breaking programme.
In each of the eight episodes Paul brings us stories guaranteed to lead to tears of sadness as well as tears of joy and laughter, as we meet more of Battersea’s canine residents looking for love, care and a new home.
In episode two, Paul meets a day old puppy who has been rejected by her mum, a Jack Russell who is only using three of his legs and a terrified mongrel who was left tied up outside Battersea.
Paul knows he needs to be strong when meeting puppies, as he often wants to adopt them all.  Little May, who is only a day old, is no exception.  Sadly, her German Shepherd mum has rejected her, so May is being hand-reared by handler Stacey who has taken over all motherly duties, including feeding May every two hours through the night.   When Paul first meets May, she can’t even open her eyes but just one month later he is stunned to see how big she’s grown.  As an only pup, May is missing out on the socialisation and training she would get from her siblings and her mum.  So Paul joins forces with Ali, Battersea’s Head Behaviourist.  He teaches her to sit using treats as an incentive and takes her to meet Puddle the puppy for some playtime.  The time comes for the vet to sign off on whether or not May is ready to be rehomed, but can handler Stacey bear to let her go?
Next Paul meets Buster the Jack Russell who arrived at Battersea with a history of several traumas and as a result, can’t use one of his back legs.  His muscles are wasted and contracted and the team believe he’s going to need an operation and a lot of physio.
Paul is full of affection for Buster and says: “I do like these little breeds you know. I like them because they’re loyal and they’re feisty and full of fun and energy.”
Buster then returns the compliment by getting very amorous with Paul’s arm.   And the camera man!  Paul visits Buster two weeks after his operation to take him for a walk and continue stretching his leg.
Fourteen-year-old mongrel, Ben, was left tied to the railings of Battersea.  He is shaken, nervous and unresponsive, so handler Georgie has her work cut out. When Paul visits, he can’t take the crew with him for fear of upsetting Ben’s nervous disposition and the team set up a small camera in the corner of Ben’s kennel.  Ben isn’t eating his dinner and needs round the clock care to prove that his handlers are there to take care of him.  He also needs an operation to correct his gum disease, which is causing him plenty of pain. Once the surgery has taken place, everyone at Battersea is hopeful that Ben will find the new home he deserves…
21:00-22:00 brand new two-part-documentary and last in series and series finale.2/2.Crime and Punishment:Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine.Gordon Ramsay explores the criminal business behind the global cocaine trade in this two-part
documentary. Cocaine was once seen as glamourous and expensive, a favourite of the rich and famous, but the drug is now the UK’s favourite illegal high. Each year, 30 tonnes of cocaine are
consumed in the UK – more than in any other European country – and deaths from the drug are currently at an all-time high. In the restaurant industry, usage of cocaine is rife and Gordon is determined to strip away at the drug’s glamorous image. He teams up with the police and military, both here and abroad, who are battling to stop the lucrative trade of this deadly drug. In this episode, Gordon joins Dorset Police as they arrest motorists driving under the influence of cocaine, and he witnesses National Crime Agency officers intercepting drug couriers on their way to a deal laden with tens of thousands of pounds. He also gets to handle 30 kilos of freshly confiscated cocaine when it arrives at a forensics laboratory for testing. Leaving the UK behind, Gordon heads
to the source of the drug. Colombia is the world’s biggest producer of cocaine, and Gordon treks deep into the jungle to meet a coca farmer who risks everything to produce the drug. Gordon watches the illegal ‘cooking’ process, which transforms the plant into the notorious drug.Gordon Ramsay explores the global cocaine trade, observing police as they arrest users and dealers and visiting Colombia, the world's biggest producer of cocaine. In part two, Gordon takes part in a helicopter mission in Colombia with an SAS-trained anti-drugs squad and joins a Met Police dawn raid on the home of a suspected dealer.*brand new one-off-documentary Ross Kemp Behind Bars airs on next Thursday (1st,November,2018) at 9:00pm-10:00pm.

22:40-23:15 brand new series.14/20.After the News.(Series 1).After The News
This new live topical discussion programme for TV3 debates Britain’s biggest talking points with a range of high-profile guests from news, politics, and popular culture.
Hosted separately five nights a week by broadcasters Emma Barnett and Nick Ferrari, they will be joined for the duration of the 30-minute programme by two guests with passionately-held and differing views for a lively and combative discussion on a range of stories and issues.
The programme aims to be the last word on the major talking points of the day and to combine them with fresh insights into the next morning’s big stories, taking perspectives from social media to fuel the conversation in the studio.
Guests lined up to appear on the show include Nigel Farage, Alastair Campbell, Ann Widdecombe, Nick Clegg, Nicky Morgan, Jason Isaacs, Shami Chakrabarti, Chuka Umunna, Quentin Letts, Julia Hartley-Brewer, and Alex Salmond.
Depending on the news agenda, the panel may be joined by an additional interviewee or contributor who is at the heart of a major news story, and the programme will make room for single interviews on particularly high-profile topics.
Emma, who hosts her own show on Radio 5 live, will present every Tuesday and Friday night, while LBC host Nick will front the show on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The pair will alternate on Mondays.
Emma Barnett said: “News has never been so newsworthy - which is ironic in an era when we've got more access to the hard stuff than ever before. I love being in the middle of the day's biggest issues and separating truth from spin. I look forward to getting going with this new late night news show. So bring it on."
Nick Ferrari said: "With everything from the recent terror attacks, to the complexities of Brexit and even the horror of one of the worst peacetime disasters in history with the Grenfell tragedy, rarely has the news agenda been so compelling and ever-changing. This show seeks to reflect that."
Executive producer Ian Rumsey, Head of Topical Programmes, ITN Productions said: “We’re aiming to go behind the headlines every night – and also bring some of the next day’s big stories forward. We won’t just be sticking simply to the news agenda, our programme will also focus on many of the other things that Britain is really talking about that day."
