Prince William and Prince Charles join more than 100 stars to celebrate the nation's unsung heroes at the prestigious Pride of Britain Awards 2018 on TV3.
Hosted by Carol Vorderman, celebrities including David Beckham, Simon Cowell, Sir Michael Caine, Joanna Lumley, Sir Rod Stewart, Sir Lenny Henry, Suranne Jones and One Direction's Liam Payne pay tribute to some truly awe-inspiring people at the glittering event at the Grosvenor House in London's Park Lane.
Award presenters range from Prime Minister Theresa May, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and scientific genius Sir Stephen Hawking to the country's best-loved TV and sports stars.
In a year blighted by terror attacks on Manchester and London and the Grenfell Tower inferno, the focus will be on the remarkable heroism of members of our emergency services and the NHS.
Other winners include a quick-thinking four-year-old girl who saved her mum's life. Also recognised will be a forensic scientist whose pioneering work cracked hundreds of murder cases and a brave hairdresser whose story empowered women to fight back against domestic violence.
Besides uplifting stories of courage, selflessness and beating the odds, there will be more than a few hilarious surprises along the way. Dancing superstar and Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo joins Carol as a roving presenter to interview winners and celebrities behind-the-scenes.
Among the many celebrities taking part will be the stars of Britain's favourite TV shows including Strictly Come Dancing, The X Factor, Coronation Street and EastEnders.
Now in its 19th year, Pride of Britain has become established as the biggest national event of its kind.
Tens of thousands of people nominated their unsung heroes and the winners were chosen by a judging panel which this year included Carol Vorderman, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick, Chief Nursing Officer Prof Jane Cummings, Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, This Morning host Eamonn Holmes, former winner Katie Piper and Olympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox.
WHY A-LIST CELEBRITIES LOVE  PRIDE OF BRITAIN
“The Pride of Britain Awards remind us of the courage which still exists in every corner of the land.” HRH Prince Charles
"I'm always delighted to take part in the Pride of Britain Awards. The winners are always amazing, particularly the children. I think the bravery and courage they show is an example to us all." David Beckham
"I have been to some awards in my time but never to an awards like this. It is the most extraordinary thing.” Sir Michael Caine
"I was blown away by the whole thing when I first went. I am always amazed by the winners - they are extraordinary people whose achievements are truly humbling." Sir Paul McCartney
"I can't remember ever being so moved. The stories of these incredible people are the sort of thing that really gives you faith in human nature. This is what an awards ceremony should be." Dame Helen Mirren
"The experience has been completely uplifting. It makes you realise there are so many fantastic people in the world." Joanna Lumley
"I don't mind admitting that I cried. I defy anyone not to. The courage and bravery of these people - especially the children - was humbling. I consider it a privilege to have witnessed it.”  Diana Ross
“I love this country and I felt very welcomed here and I'm honoured to be here, privileged to be here. And nights like Pride of Britain where you see story after story after story of, I mean even the smallest child, who gets it, gets it in a way that sometimes adults don't. You know, there's great lessons to be learned from Pride of Britain.” Kevin Spacey
"There's too much celebrity culture in this country. Pride of Britain is great because it celebrates people who aren't part of that world." Sir Lenny Henry
"These awards are far superior to the Brits and Baftas. I genuinely believe it's the best award ceremony of the year. It makes you realise exactly what life is about and what people have to overcome." Simon Cowell
"Pride of Britain is a marvellous celebration of individual courage, determination and achievement. The winners are a wonderful reminder of what the human spirit can achieve - and stand for so much of what makes me proud of our country." Sir Richard Branson
"This is when celebrities take a back seat and applaud the people who really should be famous - ordinary people showing inspiring courage in extraordinary circumstances." Sharon Osbourne
"It's important that we should pay tribute to people who are prepared to put their lives in danger like this for others because we all rely on them. And how many of us can match their bravery?" Ewan McGregor. The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge join more than 100 stars to salute the nation's unsung heroes. Hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.
